Center for Medicare and Medicaid mail out checks for up to $250 for seniors in Saipan, Tinian, and Rota

It seems like every time you look around, medication is getting more and more expensive. Even the Generic medications can sometimes get outrageous. There is glimmer of good news. Seniors who had medical prescription costs exceeding $2,830 per year and who are not considered “dual eligible” by CMS should receive a rebate of up to $250. If the senior is currently receiving Medicare benefits, the checks will be mailed automatically. Making prescription drugs more affordable for seniors is only one of the many benefits for seniors included in the recently enacted health reform law. Other benefits for seniors include free preventive care services under Medicare, beginning in 2011.
