Pacific Home Health Care Hosts Veterans "Aid and Attendance" Pension Benefits Seminar

Up to $22,000.00 per year may be available for home health nurses and aides to help take care of a homebound veteran. The seminar is being held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the CNMI Office of Military Liason and Veterans Affairs in Capital Hill, Saipan. Seating is limited, please call 234-2273 to register or for more information. We will be discussing the "Aid and Attendance" benefit that can be used to reimburse medical expenses including home health care. If you have any questions about Home Health, please give us a call today at 670-234-2273. We have a licensed Attorney available to help answer any eligibility questions, and assist in the filing of any "Aid and Attendance claims.

The program is designed for low to medium income Veterans. Unless the Veteran has a substantial amount of medical bills, Veterans receiving high monthly incomes due to lease payments or private businesses are unlikely to qualify to receive additional benefits. Due to the lack of nursing homes on the islands of the CNMI, it is distressing to hear about Veterans being homeless or unable to afford basic necessities. All Veterans arriving in the CNMI should remember to register at the CNMI Veterans Liason Office in Capital Hill and keep abreast of any benefits that can assist their well being.
